Issan 2013 - Margaux
Overall condition: Perfect
Château d'Issan 2013 - Margaux
Château d'Issan is ranked 3rd Grand Cru in the 1855 classification.
It comes from the old vines of the Château d'Issan enclosure, in the heart of the Margaux appellation.
It perfectly expresses the bouquet specific to the Margaux region, and is distinguished by its suppleness, finesse and elegance, typical of its unique terroir.
Château d'Issan is aged for 16 to 18 months in barrels, 50% of which are new oak. Annual production of approximately 100,000 bottles.
Even if 2013 is an often decried vintage, a good number of Bordeaux wines would surprise many a blind taster!
Certainly, it will not have a very long cellaring, you can leave it until 2030 or taste it now, but this Château d'Issan 2013 is a very beautiful wine! You will find notes of spices and black and red berries, as well as a lot of finesse.
