Soils: White marl and hard limestone
Limited yields of around 35 hectoliters per hectare.
Pre-fermentation maceration followed by fermentation in indigenous yeast.
Light aging in 30% of new 500-liter barrels to limit the amount of wood.
Tasting Notes by WUAT: We have tasted this wine many times. It is ample, round and powerful. The tannins, very present, melt after an hour of decanting. The style is very classic, but accessible to all. A real serious Pommard to enjoy with spicy dishes. Please open it at least 2 hours before tasting. A decanting would be even better.
