About the estate: Established in Meursault since 1868, the Jacques Prieur estate is one of the most serious, regular and popular great estates in Burgundy. We refer you to their website which is particularly comprehensive Jacques Prieur
About the cuvée: This small 1er cru "les Grèves" plot of only 1.17ha is located not far from the famous Vignes de l'Enfant Jesus own by Bouchard. As in Bordeaux, the "grèves" are small limestone pebbles often coupled with silica and here, clay-limestone soil. The wines produced on these terroirs are of great finesse and benefit from a substantial aging potential.
About the vintage: 2010 is a great vintage in Burgundy. Much less easy than 2009, 2010 is concentrated, strict with powerful tannins. The yields were far below the average for previous years. You can therefore keep them for many years or enjoy them today with a certain amount of decanting.
