Corton GC 2013 Vieilles Vignes - Ludovic Belin
75 cl - 13% Alc vol
Perfect conditions
Direct producer origin
The Belin estate has existed since 1999. Starting from a small plot of only 0.3 H.A, this young winegrower works hard to today offer a nice range of Côte de Beaune wines from the 7 H.A that the vineyard has.
This cuvée "Corton Vieilles vignes" is now called Corton Vieilles Vignes les Bressandes.
WUAT's opinion: Let's be honest, we have great difficulty in giving credit to the "Grand cru" label affixed to the bottles of Corton. The immense terroir of Corton cannot provide grand cru quality for all producers, so it is advisable to consider each cuvée without taking this mention into account. That being said, we tasted this cuvée in June 2020, the wine is very well made, balanced (not too much wood and good concentration), the tannins are already round after two hours in the carafe. He can safely wait ten years.
If you are looking to discover Burgundy without breaking the bank, this wine offers excellent value for money. It will go perfectly with an eggplant parmesan dish or a summer grill.
