Avignonesi has been producing its wines since 1974 in the Montepulciano region of southern Tuscany. It is well known for its Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, made from the Sangiovese grape variety, and its very rare Vin Santo.

Since 2009 it has spread over 175 hectares of vines and has an ultra-modern vat room. It is among the main players in Italian biodynamic viticulture.
