Armagnac is the oldest and most famous brandy in France. The grapes for the base Armagnac wine grow in the region of Bas-Armagnac, in Gascony which is in the southwest of France. The distillation process differs from cognac or brandy in that Armagnac is only distilled once. The young Armagnac brandy is stored in small oak barrels for many years, then again for several years in large glass bottles until maturation. Armagnac generally has around 40% alcohol by VOL.

The brandy with the controlled designation of origin Armagnac VSOP is a strictly protected name and cannot be used outside the approved cultivation area in Gascony. The domain of Baron Gaston Legrand, specializes in the production and storage of sought-after vintages of Armagnac and can offer vintages up to 1802. An unimaginable number of barrels, vintages and bottles already filled with his famous Armagnac VSOP are stored in the old cellars of the Baron. Baron Gaston Legrand's Armagnac vintages are ideal gifts and guarantee great pleasure and will bring great joy for years to come!

Wuat's opinion: We didn't want to unseal the original box to take a picture of the bottle. This is offered in an "old-fashioned" design with the most beautiful effect. A box with absolutely unbeatable value for money.
