Arbois 1989 "Rosé" - Domaine Rolet
Created in 1942 by Désiré Rolet, the Rolet estate is one of the jewels of the Jura vineyard. Two generations succeeded each other at the head of the estate before they handed over to three families passionate about wine and the Jura, including a family of Burgundy winegrowers.
The wines of Domaine Rolet express all the richness of the Jura terroir through a wide range of local grape varieties (Chardonnay and Savagnin for the whites, Poulsard, Trousseau and Pinot noir for the reds) and several appellations: Arbois, Côtes du Jura , L'Etoile and Château-Chalon.
This cuvée comes from a blend of dominant Poulsard and Pinot Noir to a lesser extent.
Tasted in December 2021: We don't care much about it, but you had to try it "for science". We were pleasantly surprised by the freshness it still offers. On the nose, the fruits are still there, discreet of course, but there. Upon opening it will offer you notes of raspberries, strawberries and blackcurrants. The mouth is fresh, the tannins are still present to ensure a pleasant structure. A nice discovery for lovers of old wines that are out of the ordinary.
