Château Guiraud embodies the excellence of the sweet wines of Sauternes. The estate has managed to combine tradition and innovation to create wines rich in flavor and complexity, while respecting its unique terroir. The blend, made up of about two thirds of Sémillon and one third of Sauvignon blanc depending on the vintage, is aged for 15 months in oak barrels, 18 months for this 2003 vintage.

The 2003 vintage: Heat wave!

The 2003 vintage was marked by extreme climatic conditions, but Château Guiraud was able to make the most of these circumstances.

This wine has a golden hue of medium intensity, revealing subtle aromas of orange, vanilla biscuit, toasty notes, crème brûlée, smoke and creamy grapefruit. It displays the smooth texture and slight acidity characteristic of the vintage, while exhibiting an opulent and rich character.

Food and wine:

Château Guiraud 2003 goes well with refined dishes such as foie gras, shellfish and blue-veined cheeses. It can also be enjoyed on its own as a luxury aperitif.
