Talbot 2015 - Saint-Julien

Château Talbot 2015 - Saint-Julien
4th Grand Cru Classé in 1855 Château Talbot is a 110 ha estate in one piece. Talbot is one of the most famous wines of the Médoc. For a century, it has remained a family affair. The estate is recognized for the consistency and quality of its vintages.
If it knows how to be round and flattering in its youth, it is also an excellent wine for aging.
The estate produces three wines:
- Château Talbot: the estate's first wine, aged in barrels for fifteen months in 50% new barrels.
- Le Connétable de Talbot: second wine from younger vines than the first wine is aged 12 months in barrels.
- Le Caillou Blanc: atypical white wine for the Médoc because stemming from Cordier's desire to replant white vines in Saint-Julien, it is aged in barrels for nine months and then on lees
By filling out this form we ask ourselves if we have ever been really disappointed by a Talbot. And the answer is no! Talbot is the lifeline of the taster, the wine that will please everyone in all circumstances. Any lover of Bordeaux, what am I saying, of wine, must have at least one in the cellar, ready to be tasted.
This 2015 vintage is charming. It offers a smoky and roasted nose to which are added black cherries, liquorice and cassis as the wine takes on air. If it is soft and refined, before and after opening, it will take a few more years for the tannins to be perfectly polished.
