The formidable Pomerol in its 1990 vintage, finally ready to be tasted today.
The quality of the wines of the Conseillante no longer needs to be presented. This chateau is undoubtedly one of the five best in the Pomerol appellation.
This wine is part of the "with them we are never disappointed" club. The style is very pure, velvety and silky, over time the aromas evolve towards truffle, violet and mocha.
Like the nearby Château La Violette, this Pomerol obtains notes of violet as it ages. This particularity which inspired the color of the capsule since 1871.
Tasting advice: "On paper", the 1990 vintage of the Conseillante is a little less powerful than the 1989 vintage. But 1990 has a particular charm that makes it irresistible. Open it at least 3 hours before tasting or place it in a carafe for an hour.
