La Conseillante 2002 - Pomerol
The formidable Pomerol in its 2002 vintage, finally ready to be tasted.
The quality of the wines of the Conseillante no longer needs to be presented. This chateau is undoubtedly one of the five best in the Pomerol appellation.
This wine is part of the "with them we are never disappointed" club. The style is very pure, velvety and silky, over time the aromas evolve towards truffle, violet and mocha.
Like the nearby Château La Violette, this Pomerol obtains notes of violet as it ages. This particularity which inspired the color of the capsule since 1871.
Tasting advice: 2002 was a complicated vintage in the Bordeaux region. The first tasting notes of this Conseillante describe it as a disconcerting wine, and lacking in harmony in its youth. After twenty years of aging, it has matured and should be close to its peak. To be opened at least two hours before tasting.
