What an emotion to have in our hands this precious bottle which has, it must be said, rather well survived the ages!
The 1976 vintage was the first harvest to be bottled by Joseph Jamet. Today, Jean-Paul Jamet has succeeded his father at the head of the estate, alongside his wife Corinne and his son Loïc. This domain does things "the old fashioned way" and it does it very well. This is why its vintages are difficult to access on the market.
This Côte-Brune cuvée is the only plot selection from the estate. Made from an entire Syrah harvest, never destemmed, it is a complex wine that expresses the typicity of this locality.
This is an extremely rare cuvée.
As for the 1978 vintage, it is simply one of the 3 greatest vintages of the 20th century.
