Côte-Rôtie 1985 - Domaine de Vallouit
Stock direct from the estate! In perfect conditions of conservation and aging.
About the domain:
The Vallouit estate was a magnificent family estate in the northern Rhône valley. One of the few to have vines in all the appellations of Northern Rhone, with the exception of Château Grillet of course. In 2001, the estate's vines were taken over by Guigal, which incorporated them into its cuvées.
About the cuvée:
This very peppery Côte-Rôtie is particularly dense, offers aromas of liquorice and always some notes of black fruits!
About the 1985 vintage:
An excellent vintage for Rhône wines and particularly for the Northern Rhône in Côte-Rôtie and Hermitage. The Syrahs are concentrated, balanced, rich and very aromatic. As often the great vintages of Côte-Rôtie age very well.
