Château Latour 1993 - 1st classified growth of Pauillac
You necessarily know Château Latour in Pauillac. And if not, you should meet him, you'll see he's great.
About the vintage: 1993 was a very complicated vintage for Pauillac wines. The mild spring led to an early bud burst, mainly of the Merlots. This was followed by a rainy summer, a hot and sunny month of August and a month of September with very rainy harvests. Suffice to say that the less good winemakers obtained diluted and insipid wines. Fortunately you are here at Latour who is not in this situation. The result is surprisingly good, the tannins are present although rustic. A beautiful wine to celebrate a birthday.

Satisfactory result despite difficult climatic conditions. Complex wine, developing aromas of prunes and candied fruits, with a note of Havana. On the palate, the wine bursts with freshness and fruit. Without being a monster of concentration, it is a balanced wine, with a round and silky structure and a surprisingly persistent finish.
