The Henri Delagrange estate has been established in Volnay since 1947. It is currently the 6th generation that takes care of the operation. Like many Burgundy estates, priority is now given to the free expression of terroirs. Viticulture is therefore intended to be as natural as possible.
This Premier Cru is produced in 2,800 units on a small plot of only 45 ares, the vines of which are over 50 years old. The clay-limestone soil ensures good durability and freshness to this Premier Cru.
Aging for 12 months in 10% to 20% cask only.
The vintage is excellent for the reds from the Côte de Beaune and the Pommard appellation. After a cold and dry winter and a gloomy summer, the harvest, which began in mid-September, took place in perfect sanitary conditions.
