Clos de la Roche 1988 - Gérard Raphet (son of Jean Raphet)
The Jean Raphet estate is a sublime Bourguignon estate which ranks among the best. The bottles are in great demand and therefore rare on the market.
The estate is made up of 12 hectares of vines aged 35 years on average and the vast majority of them Pinot Noir (less than 1 hectare in aligoté).
It is extremely famous for its Charmes-Chambertin, Clos de la Roche and Clos de Bèze.
At WUAT, we managed to obtain a sublime Clos de la Roche from 1988, a very good vintage on Burgundy reds! With austere tannins at the time, these wines gain in harmony with the years to come and are endowed with a sublime aging potential.
Don't miss it!
