"Use of everything, abuse of nothing" is Thierry Beaumont's adage. A way of saying that he works in a reasoned way, with the least possible intervention from the vine to the wine.
The wine-growing activity at the Beaumont family goes back more than 7 generations. The activity was taken over in 1991 by Thierry Beaumont, creating the name "Domaine de Beaumont". He then put in place the total marketing in the bottle from 1999.
The Les Sorbès plot does not belong to the Domaine des Beaumont but to another winegrower from Morey-Saint-Denis who owns a large part of this plot. The Domaine des Beaumont rented the vines to him in order to vinify and produce his own cuvée.
Les Sorbès is a very interesting parcel of Morey-Saint-Denis, in the heart of the village, next to Clos Sorbè. This wine is more structured and powerful than Les Ruchots, it is the perfect balance between Les Ruchots and the power of Les Millandes.
